In 2008, Diversity Players of Harlem tapped Kevin Brown to lead Marq Overton's one-man stage play, Die Laughing, a dramatic comedy about a man who develops breast cancer. Diversity Players of Harlem's co-founder, Shawn Luckey was instrumental in solidifying Brown for the one man show, while co-founder Dwight Ali Williams directed Brown's Off-Broadway debut performance.
