Winding Refn went to the United States in 1981 and was educated at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1993. He is famous for directing the Pusher trilogy.[1] His upcoming film Drive is scheduled to premiere In Competition at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.[2] Winding Refn is married to actress Liv Corfixen, with whom he has one child, and is the half-brother of Danish singer Kasper Winding.
